TO PROMOTE & ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
EMPTA facilitates dealings regarding commercials and industrial enquiries as well as organise local and foreign trade missions.  EMPTA will also try to  maintain cordial relationships among members for mutual benefits and solving industrial or trade problems.  We look a giant step towards this objective through the formation of FEMPTAM (Federation of Engineering & Motor Parts Trader's Association Malaysia) that protects and looks after the interests of all member associations throughout the country.

TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR
Over the years, EMPTA has been able to resolve, on behalf of its members, all major problems pertaining to government laws. We constantly arrange dialogues and negotiations with the government bodies such as Ministry of TRade and Industry, Ministry of Consumers Affairs and etc. as to voice out our difficulties regarding certain new legislations.

TO PROMOTE SOCIAL WELFARE, CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
It is always our culture to contribute generously to charity and social welfare bodies. Since our formation, we donated generously to the National Independent Chinese Secondary Schools Development Fund, Chinese Benevolent Clinic and hospitals as well as old folks homes. We also helped to raise funds for Study Awards and Medical Aid Fund for our members' employees.
