At the time of its formation, the association had no more than 70 members. However, over the years, as more and more people ventured into the spare parts trade, the membership grew likewise. By the end of the year 2000, the membership stood at 781, comprising of 716 ordinary life members, 9 ordinary members, and 56 honorary members.
The executive committee (EXCO) , consisting of 29 members, is as follows:

The tenure of office for EXCO members is three (3) years and new election will be held at the Annual General Meeting at the end of the term.
Over the years, under the capable leadership of the past and the present Chairman, the activities of the Association increased in momentum. Thus, in line with the rapid progress the following sub-committees were formed.

The secretariat consists of two Executive Secretaries and an assistant secretary to carry out the daily activities of the association. Despite the heavy workload they have performed their duties efficiently and diligently.
The previous Chairmen included the late Ong Ah Chan, Goh Swee Joo, Loke Mun Leong, Ng Yoke Teng JP PMC, Leong Kim Hoe, while the present Chair man is Oon Nai Tart.
