Mercedes-Benz USA has reported that its sales in July 2008 increased 11.6% to 20,733 vehicles, compared to 18,586 vehicles in July 2007.

The company's year-to-date sales increased 2.3% to 140,012 units, compared to 136,826 units in the same period of 2007. Sales of the C-class models increased 45.4% to 6,241 units, from 4,291 units in July 2007.

Sales of the E-class increased 53% to 4,938 units in July 2008, compared to 3,227 units in July 2007.

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz certified pre-owned program, Mercedes-Benz USA marked a 17.2% increase in sales for July 2008, with 5,175 vehicles sold, bringing year-to-date sales to a total of 36,533 units, an increase of 19.9% over the same period in 2007.
